Juneteenth

Broaden our understanding of this important holiday.

R/A’s Black Voices Employee Empowerment Group planned several incredible events so that we could broaden our understanding of this important holiday.

We were honored to host Director of Education Nicole A. Moore from the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta, Georgia for a virtual discussion in honor of Juneteenth with the theme of “Celebrating the Spirit of Finding and Making Freedom.”

Plan your visit to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights or take a virtual tour here: https://www.civilandhumanrights.org/

In honor of Juneteenth, our Black Voices Employee Empowerment Group arranged a virtual discussion for R/A and friends of R/A to attend, with co-founder Rod Johnson of @blkandbold, a Black-owned specialty beverage business. Rod told us what Juneteenth means to him and more about their products, including their loose-leaf tea and two of their single-origin coffees that come from growing regions in the African Diaspora, Ethiopia & Honduras. In addition to educating oneself on the history of Juneteenth, supporting Black-owned businesses is just one of many ways you can make a difference during this holiday. BLK & Bold is sold in national retailers and online. https://blkandbold.com/
